Mixes will be critiqued by engineers by the likes of David Thoener, Greg Lunkens, Karl Richardson, Tom Young, Tim Palmer, Cool & Dre, and Al Schmitt.
HOW IT WORKS:
- Download tracks (kick, hi-hat, snare, guitar, vocal, etc) of a very special session performed by a top artist (all captured by Sennheiser and Neumann microphones of course!).
- Mix the separate tracks into a final .wav file using the provided Cubase LE software (or your own select DAW software) into a final product.
- You will then upload your final .wav file to the website using the interface provided (.wav files provide the utmost clarity and are the required format for upload).
- A randomly selected award-winning engineer will listen to your mix, critique it and provide you valuable feedback on your mix. You will get a notice of when your mix has been critiqued by email.
- Participants will be invited to a series of webinars where the acclaimed engineers will discuss mixing techniques.
RULES:
- You may only upload one final .wav file of your own to be critiqued by an award-winning engineer.
- The recorded material is the property of the respective artist.
- The engineer who critiques your mix will be chosen at random and there is no guarantee implied that a specific engineer will critique your mix.
- You may record additional sounds or instrumentation to be added to the tracks.
- Any effects (VST, TDM, external, etc) May be used without restriction. Feel free to use whatever you have at your disposal.
